Course Description: This 17-hour course will help the individual to operate their weapon safely, legally, and effectively, as well as help them prepare mentally and emotionally for a potential deadly-force confrontation. It will also include range time with hands on training and a shooting qualification course. Topics will include Use of Force Legal Issues, Justifiable Use of Force, Mental Conditioning, Equipment Selection, Team Selection and Organization, Firearms Safety, Defensive Handgun Skills, Marksmanship, Basic Tactics, Use of Cover, Tactics with Partner, and Qualification Shooting.
